Praying for an Elephant
For those of you who read the blog on a regular basis know that we are big fans of the zoo. We heard on the news this morning that our favorite baby elephant, Malti is gravely ill. There is a small chance she will survive because of a virus she has contracted. But I so so hope she does. I'm not really a religious person but I'm praying for Malti .

Ohhhhhhh, that is sooo sad! If I was a better mom, we'd go to the zoo more often because my kids love animals. And elephants are among their favorites!
I'm so sad to hear that Malti passed away. I was really looking forward to seeing her (him?) at the zoo. Hopefully, they'll learn something about the virus that was contracted so more of the baby elephants can be saved. My condolences to the zoo staff and all Calgarians during this tragic loss.
It is sad to hear that.
I visit zoo quite often with my child and my wife, and we have good moments there to watch the little elephant and other animals. But a zoo is not a good place for these animals, especially for the large animals. I saw lions stays outside in such cold weather. Hope they are free after they died.
Poor Malti, that is so sad.
I think I heard somewhere that he died? I'm sorry you can't go and visit him anymore?
