One of the changes we decided to make was to put Lucas in a big boy bed when we moved into the new house. The new baby will eventually need the crib, so we thought this would be a good opportunity to move him. We got him some Diego sheets for the bed, which he loves. Last night went pretty good, no episodes of him falling out. But tonight when I got home from a meeting I went up to check him out he was laying in the bed with his body, but his legs were hanging out of the bed and supporting him on the floor. Looked pretty funny. The question is do you put kids back in their bed or let them figure it out on their own? What would you do?
Till Tomorrow

eum don't know...I'd take a picture :p
when we started putting our boys in a "real" bed, we bought a little railing (I think at Target) that you slide under the side of the mattress (between the mattress and the bed frame). It keeps them from rolling out on the floor.
That and a lot of pillows piled on the floor, they eventually figured it out!! ;-)
LOL yep Id probably take a photo and then put him back into bed :)
I usually let them fall asleep on their own. An hour later, I usually go in, make sure they are covered up (and in bed), tuck them in good, and kiss them goodnight one more time.
Take a pic, though!
Definitely take a picture!
With Joey we used a bedrail b/c his bed has drawers underneath and is fairly high off the ground...and he was only 14 or 15 months old when we switched him. (We switched him when we moved houses)
And Alex had a race car bed when he was 10 months old and that was low to the ground so we just put a pillow or two down.
It's been strange not seeing you at d/off and p/up time. I miss chatting with you :o) Can't wait for pics of your new house!
Like Sari, we have a bed rail for Kaelen that helps alot. Every now and then we forget to put it up and all seems to be okay. Of course though, the one time the babysitter forgot to put it up, Kaelen was literally sleeping on his head which was on the floor and his little body all twisted up in the sheets dangling from the bed. We had to check to make sure he was still breathing before we laughed and took a picture. :)
