Crap

Today I was walking down the stairs and fell. It hurt like a son of gun. But I put some ice on it and took some Motrin. I was going to wait a couple of hours to see if I could weight bear and when I couldn't I went into the hospital.

Ends up I have a Jones fracture of my 5th metatarsal. Which is no good. No weightbearing for 6 weeks, walking with crutches all the time. I can't carry Nathan around.

Crap, crap, crap, crap.

Till Tomorrow

Oh, no!!!! That's a challenging set of circumstances especially since I know your favourite thing to do is to go to the park every day. I wish I had enough vacation time left to come and help out.

If there's one thing I know for sure, I know your creativity will kick in and you'll figure out tons of ingenious ways to still do most of the daily activities you enjoy most.

If you have a little umbrella stroller, I would bet that Lucas can push Nathan while you're on your crutches. Your baby wrap may also become your friend for the next 6 weeks so you can carry Nathan with your arms free to use your crutches.

Additionally, if you have to get groceries or run errands, most stores will gladly carry your purchases out to the car for you especially in those circumstances.

Take care and I would be willing to bet there will be some wickedly funny stories on the blog in the next 6 weeks (if I know you as well as I think I do).

Oh my goodness! Oh no. I'm soooo sorry. Do you have family that is coming to stay or something? This is one of those frustrating bloggy moments where I wish I lived near the people I read. I wish I could bring you a casserole and take the kids out for the afternoon...

Um...not too sound clueless but where's that again?

If you need anything - let me know!

Luckily I am close enough to be of some assistance :o)

Hoping you have a speedy recovery just in time for a sunny holiday!

Rotten luck. There can be help from London if needed. I leave that up to you to see what (if anything) would work. Grammy

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this!! I wish you a speedy recovery. Six weeks isn't too long, but I know that is something you don't want to hear. Wish I lived there... I would certainly be happy to help you out.

ouch!!!!! (now I get the crutches in more recent posts).

It sounds very painful although I have no clue what a Jones fracture of the 5th metatarsal is.
I hope you don't suffer too much pain!
