Summer Vacation

Well no post in a couple of days, but it has been a busy couple of days. Yesterday we drove home from Kelowna. And although I love going there I just wish it wasn't so far away. Plus since it's summer construction season is on, so the normal 8 hour drive took 10ish. Amazingly we did not have any major screaming from Lucas. We bought two new toys the day before which kept him entertained through most of the trip. Unfortunatly Darryl and I know all the songs already from the toy, but that would have happened soon enough.

Here are some pics from the last week

Lucas and I swimming at Peachland Beach.

Darryl and Lucas hanging out at the beach.

Lucas sitting on Oma and Opa's deck enjoying his breakfast.

Lucas has changed alot in the past week. I'm sure it's part of putting him in new surroundings. Oma had a few coffee tables that were just the right height and quite sturdy to pull himself up on. So now he has mastered that skill. He also liked the bolts in her outdoor stairs so quite enjoyed climbing those. Now I need baby gates. He is also recoginizing lots of things. Learning more and more words and signs. His latest sign is happy. Where you pat your chest. He alwasy gives a big smile when he does it. HE is also showing preferences for things. He is quite into animal noises especially cows and ducks. Also vechiles, like police cars and planes. I can't believe that a year ago at the time he wasn't even born and now he is learning and already knows so much.

Anyway it was a great vacation, even though we were all a little sick. It was nice to get away and have some sunshine.

Till Tommorrow.

Jenn
