First Day At Work

Today I went back to my hospital job for an orientation shift. It was great. I am the kind of mother that is a better mother when I go away for a bit and then come back. I think it was good for the boys as well. Nathan was such a happy guy when I got home and Lucas loved being with his grandma.

And although I did miss having the smiles all day, but what I really missed was the mornings. I love getting up when the boys get up, there is no rush. We move at our own pace. We watch some TV, we eat breakfast. Soon it will be rush, rush in the morning. I will cherish the mornings most in the last of the 2 1/2 months of my maternity leave.

Till Tomorrow

I believe that I will also need/want to combine work with motherhood, but you loose indeed all relax times as you need to rush more.

Currently I love the quiet relax slow mornings most in hte period I'm stuck home as well. Although time to get out of my pyama's now :p

This is totally why I love the weekend! Just the idea that the kid's can stay in their jammies (and me too) and not rush breakfst and actually have pancakes instead of cereal b/c it's quicker.

Enjoy the last of your mat leave!

You are a trooper! My first day back was really difficult despite me trying to take a positive approach. Most of all, it was the routine I missed the most with the kids.

Hope that you have a good first day back!
