So I've read a fair number of articles lately about people blogging for making money or people stopping their blogs becuase it's too overwhelming. Although sometimes I find maintaining the blog alot of work, I don't really write to make money or for anyone else. Don't get me wrong I make it a public blog, so obviously I want people to read it and enjoy it. And I LOVE to get comments from people, so please comment away. But one of my favorite things about the blog is to go back and read about how life was a couple of years ago. Or what was Lucas doing when he was Nathan's age. It's great becuase I have it all online, but I've also published it in the Blurb book.
When I go back and read the blog from a couple of years ago I give updates what we did everyday and I don't really do that anymore. So just in case I go back and read now, here is how things are going with Nathan. Naps are going well. He does cry sometimes when I put him down, but not usually for more then 5 mintues. Bedtimes are not as simple. We usually try to get him asleep before putting him in his bed. Which is probably why he wakes up almost every night and I have to go in and rock him to sleep. With Lucas we were more strict, but now that I know the rocking to sleep stage is not that long, I don't mind doing it.
For the daily update today we had a pretty good weekend. Some exciting "cops" action behind our house on Saturday morning. Then we went to the home show and Lucas had another meltdown as we left. Sunday we went to IKEA and got Lucas a new mattress and did some redecorating.
Anyway, so Jenn is 5 years when you read this, this was your life. I'm working on a post like Lesley's where I reflect on what I was doing 10 years ago.
Till Tomorrow
Jenn

We're so glad you write your blog! I check it every day, anxiously awaiting the day's post. We often go digging back through the archives, too. It's so much fun to see and read the stories about Lucas when he was little. Some day we'll be reminiscing about when Nathan was little, too! Long live the blog!
Love,
Lori, Ian and Mackenzie
I think that is why I blog, too. To look back at things that I may have not remembered otherwise! I enjoy reading your blog even though I don't always comment!
I blog because I want to tell my friends what I'm up to and what's on my mind.
And as you get some readers you didn't know before, I also hope they are interested in my life and hope they keep coming by and leaving some comments. In the end you have them sometimes in your mind when you write something.
but I do not want to feel too restricted: I participate in meme's but only when and if I feel like it, I like to hop from topic to topic when I feel like it etc.... I guess some people quickly get the feeling they must do this sort of meme because they always do on Wednesday and it becomes a strain.
I surely don't want to make money from my blog either as it'd loose all sponteneity.
and yes, it's fun to go and look back in your own blog and smile and remember things you had already forgotten! I do so too!
I think I like your blog because it's also simply an authentic reflection of your life and what you are up too. Not pretentious, spontenous and honest, so I can relate :)....keep going please
