So Lucas and I have been talking about the cruise and when I hear a song on the ipod I tell him about what it was like in concert. Ed sings it, or John sings it (the Weakerthans), or Alan sings it (Great Big Sea) and some highlights about the song.
Last night he wanted to turn of the light in his room for a concert. I was the singer, Darryl the drummer and Lucas played the guitar. We danced our bums off and played in our band.
Till Tomorrow

Why you're such amazing parents, Reason 12,356!
You have such an amazing, creative, inventive kid....BECAUSE you're such amazing, creative, inventive parents! I love Mackenzie to bits and those years from 2 to 6 were awesome when her imagination was so vivid and spontaneous, but playing pretend did not come easily to me so I didn't play with her as genuinely as you and Darryl do with your boys. That's an amazing gift that you give to them...one that will probably have them telling stories well into their adulthood! I can see it now..."Remember when Mom and Dad did "such and such"?!!!
This is one of the reasons I love being a parent so much. They're easy to entertain, and you can once again act like a kid and completely enjoy yourself. Those experiences are so priceless!
What beautiful family times together! It sounded like so much fun filled with laughter.
That is truly precious that you and Darryl can let loose and do stuff like that. And, kids will remember you know .... or at least I remember all of the silly times with my family growing up ...
I remember when you were little and we used to dance to Micheal Jackson's Thriller, we used to dance up and down the hallways and then you wanted to watch the videos on city tv
I bet that's going to be something Lucas will always remember
