Explodes

Well Lucas's knowledge continues to amaze me. I'm sure that he's learned so much already, but now he is better able to demonstrate what he is learning.

The other day we are reading a book and he does the sign for bunny, becuase he saw a bunny on the page. Today we are looking at a book with a bird and he did the sign for bird. Holy cow! All those sign language classes did us some good. It's nice to know what he notices on a page or in a room. Most times when we walk in a room he does the sign for fan or light. He quite likes looking up at those things. Although I think he may just skip some signs becuase he can almost say the word. Like car, truck, duck and banana.

Physcially he is also doing well. He is getting better at pulling up when there is not a "ledge" or something to grasp. Getting down from a sitting is also going well. Most times he reaches down and touches the floor to be sure it's still there. Then he plops down on his bum. Other times he just dive bombs the floor. He can also stan by himself now for 10ish seconds. He was having fun in the pool yesterday with his neighboor friends (Lucas's first pool party). He would stand and then splash in the water. It is amazing how kids this age don't really play together. The "paralell" play. You play with your toy, I'll play with mine toy and we'll all be happy.
