End of Christmas Holidays

Well our wonderful two weeks of Christmas holidays is all done. It was great to have some time off with the boys. All of the boys, Darryl had a lot of time off too. But as with all vacations it was always nice to go back too. Over the holidays we spent lots of quality time together. We did some swimming, lots of organizing and even more of this:



We also had good success with potty training too. It's so cute to watch Nathan get off the potty, he's so proud of himself and struts around.

Lucas Skating

I don't really like skating. It's not my favourite winter sport. As a kid I usually spent most of my time hanging onto the edge of the boards. So when Lucas friend Elliot's grandma, who picks the boys up from school. Offered to take the boys skating once a week I was all for it. The grandma was telling us what a great job Lucas is doing, so Darryl who does like to skate took Lucas to our community centre where you can skate for free. Here's how he did:



Much better then I do on skates, and this is only his fourth time. Glad to see he picked up Darryl's gene of being good at pretty much anything he tries.

My Dad's the Coolest

Look at the cool tobogganing hill Darryl made with the slope beside our house. He piled up the snow and banks it around the fence and the playcenter. He is a really cool Dad.

Thanksgiving Weekend was filled with lots of fun, family and good food. I have an amazing husband who put the whole turkey dinner together. I have a great family which I am very thankful for. And two super kids who continue to remind me about what is important in life.

And we have lots of fun together!

Nathan a Walking Boy

You Know You Are PMS'ing when

Tonight Lucas and I are laying in bed talking about our favorite, least favorite and last favorite parts of the day.

I gave mine: playing hopscotch with Lucas and Shaun, Nathan crying and what a good boy he was this evening.

Lucas's favorite part of the day was when I wasn't mad. I didn't think it was that bad of the day, but guess I was wrong. His least favorite part was jumping on one foot during hopscotch and his last favorite part was saying our favorite parts.

One a postive note someone else perfect some of his concert going skills.

Good Movie and Book

This weekend Darryl and I watched a great movie that my mom and dad recommended. If you get a chance to rent it I highly recommend it. The movie was Deja-Vu with Denzel Washington. It is an action movie, but totally keeps you guessing throughout. If you like movies, this one would be great.



I also finished the Nanny Diaries. It was good too. Funny and interesting. It makes for an interesting read for a mother.

Now I'll have to rent that movie, although I'll be sure to do it on a night that Darryl is working. I think it's a chick flick.

Singing

I love singing. When I am working I sing and sing. This weekend I spent a good chunk of time finding new music for my fall season CD. When someone says a phrase I love to try and find a song that has that phrase in it. Even if it's a kids song. So I'm proud to say Lucas has started to sing as well. We'll I don't know how much of it is singing or just reciting the words. Even tonight we much have sang Twinkle, Twinkle ten times in the park.
