I don't agree with that YET I've never phoned the Humane Society because I worry that they wouldn't be adopted and would be euthanized. I've never considered locking up Lyla in fear of the dayhome kids. I think the kids are at a good age to teach them about animals and how to respect their space and such. Lyla has her own space in the backyard but sometimes she lays on the deck and watches the kids with me.<BR/>I'm not sure in your scenario with the neighbours which is worse. If they were running wild I would definitely phone it in though. Having a pet is a HUGE responsibility. I think some people like the idea of having an animal but get bored of the responsibility.
